Web design company for US businesses,
one accountable partner from first call to handover.

Prateeksha is a web design company based in Mumbai, India. We take a US business from discovery through strategy, design, development and launch, working remotely with a written scope and staged approvals so you always know what is being built and why.

Why partner selection is hard

Choosing a design partner is mostly choosing who is accountable.

  1. 01

    Handoffs between separate vendors

A designer, a developer and an SEO contractor each deliver their part, and nobody owns the gaps between them. Decisions made in design surface as constraints in development, weeks after anyone can cheaply change them.

  2. 02

    Scope that lives in conversation

Projects agreed over calls drift. Without a written scope, "done" becomes whatever the most recent message said, and the launch date moves with every new idea.

  3. 03

Distance treated as a risk, not a process

Working with a partner in another country feels uncertain until the review rhythm, approval points and communication channels are written down in advance.

  4. 04

    A launch nobody plans past

Sites are judged on launch day and neglected on day two. Who updates, fixes and measures the site should be decided before the first design is drawn.

How we run a project

One team, one scope, one set of approvals.

We run a project as a single sequence: discovery, strategy, design, development, launch and handover. Each stage ends with something you can review and approve, and the sequence is written into the proposal before work begins, so nothing about the engagement depends on a call you cannot remember.

  • Discovery before design, so the first layout answers a real question.
  • A written scope listing pages, features and what is explicitly out of scope.
  • Design approval before development, and development review before launch.
  • Handover notes covering how the site is built and how to change it.
  • An optional care plan, scoped separately, so launch is not the end of support.

What we deliver

What a full-service engagement covers

These are the workstreams a typical project draws on. Your proposal lists the ones that apply and names the ones that do not, because a smaller, well-scoped first project is often the better start.

01

Discovery and goals

A structured conversation and a short questionnaire establish who the site is for, what a good enquiry looks like and which existing assets we can keep. Output: a one-page brief both sides agree on.

Brief · audience · goals

02

Strategy and site structure

The page list, navigation and the path from each entry point to a contact, quote or purchase step. We draw it before designing it, so structure is argued on a diagram rather than inside a finished mock-up.

Sitemap · user paths

03

Visual and interface design

Layouts for desktop and mobile built from your brand, typography and content. You see key pages first, then the remaining templates, with review rounds defined in the proposal.

04

Development

Build on the platform chosen for your team: WordPress, Shopify, Next.js or another fit. Reusable components, clean markup and forms that route to the inbox or CRM you actually use.

Build · forms · CMS

05

Content support

Guidance on page structure, headings and calls to action, plus careful placement of the copy you supply. Full copywriting is available as a separately scoped item.

Structure · headings

06

Quality checks and launch

Device and browser checks, form testing, redirect planning where a site is replaced, and a launch checklist reviewed with you before the switch.

QA · redirects · launch

07

Handover

Written notes covering structure, editing instructions and the accounts involved. The exact contents of the handover are confirmed in your proposal or contract.

Working from the US

What changes when your partner is in Mumbai.

Prateeksha works remotely from Mumbai, India, and does not have a US office or US-based staff. Distance changes how a project is organised, not what it needs to deliver. These are the arrangements we plan for.

  1. Review scheduling across time zones

Feedback sessions are booked in advance, and the windows that suit your stakeholders are agreed during discovery. Written feedback is welcome between sessions, so progress does not wait for a meeting.

  2. Written scope and staged approvals

Because you may not be in the room, decisions are recorded: what was agreed, who approved it and what it changes. That record also helps when several people at your company need to agree.

  3. Several stakeholders, one decision path

Many US businesses involve an owner, a marketing lead and an operations manager. We ask early who approves what, so feedback arrives consolidated instead of contradicting itself in week five.

  4. Billing and ownership in the contract

Billing currency, payment stages, ownership and handover arrangements are set out in the written proposal or contract. We do not publish prices or terms ahead of scoping.

  5. Customers on phone and desktop

Your visitors move between devices, and so does the design: layouts are reviewed on mobile first, then widened, rather than shrunk down from a desktop picture.

How we work

From first call to handover, in six reviewed stages.

Every stage ends with something you can see, comment on and approve. The timeline for each stage is confirmed in your proposal, not promised on this page.

  1. Discovery call and brief

We listen, ask about customers and existing assets, and write the brief back to you. Output: an agreed brief and a list of open questions.

  2. Proposal and scope

You receive a written proposal with pages, features, exclusions, stages, review rounds and billing terms. Decision: you approve it, adjust it or stop here.

  3. Structure and strategy

We map pages and user paths and review them with you before any visual work starts. Output: a sitemap and path diagrams for your approval.

  4. Design

Key page layouts for desktop and mobile first, then the remaining templates. Review: written feedback or a call, folded into the next version.

  5. Build and quality checks

Development on a staging site you can open and test, with device and form checks. Approval: your sign-off on staging before launch.

  6. Launch and handover

A launch checklist, a post-launch review and written handover notes. Output: handover documents and a decision on optional ongoing care.

Scope

What is in scope, and what is quoted separately.

Scope is agreed in writing before work begins. This is the usual split for a full-service project; your proposal replaces it with specifics.

Usually included

  • Discovery, brief and site structure
  • Desktop and mobile page designs
  • Development on the agreed platform
  • Forms, on-page structure and analytics set-up
  • Device and browser checks and a launch checklist
  • Written handover notes

Scoped and quoted separately

  • Custom copywriting and photography
  • Large integrations and bespoke web applications
  • Ongoing maintenance, updates and monitoring
  • Paid advertising, link building and content marketing

Website work from our portfolio, across industries and regions

What we can show

Capabilities you can check for yourself.

We do not publish client counts or results we cannot document. These are working practices and technologies you can ask to see on a call or in a sample.

Platforms we build on
WordPress, Shopify and Next.js are the platforms we work on most, and we will tell you plainly when a different one suits you better.
Design systems in code
Reusable components and consistent spacing and type scales, so new pages match existing ones without another redesign.
Plain-language documentation
Structure notes, editing guides and a record of decisions are written for the people who will run the site, not only for developers.
Staging before launch
Every build is reviewed on a staging site first, so you approve something real rather than a screenshot.
