1. About this notice
This website is operated by Prateeksha Printing Services, trading as Prateeksha Web Design. This notice applies to prateeksha.com, the public forms on it and the optional analytics described below. It does not cover other websites that we link to, or information you give us through other channels such as a phone call or a meeting.
2. Contact
For any question about this notice or your personal information, write to sumeet@prateeksha.com, or by post to Andheri Industrial Estate, Veera Desai Road, Andheri West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400053, India. You can also use the privacy request page.
3. Information you give us
When you submit a form on this website (for example a contact, quote, consultation or newsletter form), we receive the fields shown on that form. These differ by form and are shown before you submit. They typically include details such as your name, email address, company name and message, plus anything else you choose to type into a field. Please do not enter information we have not asked for.
With each submission our systems also receive:
- the time of the submission and the network (IP) address it came from, which we use to detect duplicate and abusive submissions;
- the page you submitted from, the page you first arrived on, the referring website and any campaign parameters in the web address, so we can see which source led to the enquiry.
If you use the chat widget, the messages you type are sent to us so that the chat can reply, and your conversation is kept in your browser so it survives a page reload.
4. Essential technical information
Our servers and our hosting receive standard technical information whenever a page or form is requested, such as the network address, the time, the page requested and basic browser details. We use it to deliver the website, protect forms and the website against abuse, and fix faults. Some browser storage is needed to run the website, protect forms and remember your privacy choice. This does not depend on your analytics choice, and the cookies and browser storage section lists each item.
5. Optional Visitor Analytics
Visitor Analytics is our own analytics system. It is off until you choose “Allow analytics”. Until then it creates no identifier in your browser and sends no detailed analytics request. The one exception is the basic aggregate page-load count described next. If you choose “No thanks”, the website and its forms work as normal.
Basic aggregate page-load count
Before you choose, and after you choose “Allow analytics”, each page load on this website adds one to a total kept for that page and hour. This counter uses no cookie, no browser storage and no visitor or session identifier. Your browser sends only the page path (the address without any query or fragment, and with sensitive parts removed). Our server then adds one to a stored aggregate record that contains only: the sanitised page path; a technical SHA-256 hash of that sanitised path, used to group and index counts; the UTC hour; the running page-load total; and an internal row key. The hash is derived from the page path alone, is not a browser fingerprint and does not identify a visitor or session, but we do not treat hashing alone as making information non-personal. The record does not store your network address, browser details, referring website, page title, location or device, and the count cannot tell us how many different people visited, how long they stayed, where they went next or how they engaged. A reload counts again, and bots are filtered only on a best-effort basis.
The request itself still travels through ordinary internet infrastructure. Our server, CDN and hosting providers necessarily receive your network address, browser details and the site address the request came from to deliver it, and may keep them in ordinary technical logs under their own retention periods. Our server’s rate limiter may also hold temporary state derived from your network address to limit abuse. None of this is written into the aggregate record. If you choose “No thanks”, or later turn analytics off, the website stops sending this count from that browser. A page load already added to a total cannot be linked back to you and so cannot be removed individually.
After you allow it, we collect:
- a random visitor identifier and a visit (session) identifier, stored in your browser;
- the pages you view (the address with sensitive parts removed), the page you entered on and the page you left from, and the order of pages in a visit;
- timestamps, how long you were on a page and how long you were active on it, and how far you scrolled;
- the referring website and campaign parameters from the web address, with sensitive values removed;
- browser, operating system, screen-width and language categories;
- clicks on buttons and links, and form events such as a form being started, submitted or showing an error (the event, not what you typed);
- your network (IP) address, handled as follows: it is stored in shortened form.
- no location is worked out from your network address.
Form field values, messages, email addresses and phone numbers are not intentionally stored in analytics event data. We use this information to measure visits, understand page journeys, find usability problems, and measure enquiries and conversions, so that we can improve this website.
6. Google Analytics
We also use Google Analytics, a service of Google. It is off until you choose “Allow analytics”: nothing is loaded from Google before then. After you allow it, Google Analytics sets cookies and receives information about your visit. We turn off Google’s advertising features for it. Google acts under its own terms, and we do not control how long Google keeps information. Read Google’s information on how it uses data. If you turn analytics off, Google Analytics is disabled in your browser and the cookies we can reach are removed.
7. Cookies and browser storage

8. Purposes
- Replying to your enquiries and providing services you ask for.
- Securing and operating this website and its forms.
- Optional analytics, only after you allow it, to measure and improve the website.
- Keeping the business, accounting and legal records we are required to keep.
We do not use your information for any other purpose without telling you first.
9. Basis for using your information
- Optional analytics: your affirmative consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Forms and chat: handling the enquiry or service you ask us for.
- Records we must keep: where a law or a contract requires it.
10. Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal information. We use the following service providers to operate the website for us:
- Cloudflare — Content delivery and security for the website
- Joomla Web Host (cPanel hosting) — Hosting of the website and its content system
- Google — reCAPTCHA spam protection on forms, and Google Analytics if you allow analytics
- Adobe Fonts — Website fonts
- WhatsApp — Messaging, only if you choose to open a WhatsApp link
We may also disclose information where the law requires it. If you choose to message us through WhatsApp, that conversation takes place in WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy information.
11. How long we keep information
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Individual visit records from optional analytics (visits, page views and interaction events) | 90 days |
| Aggregated analytics (totals that do not identify a browser) | No fixed period is set |
| Records of your consent choices | 730 days |
| Enquiry and form submissions, and the related contact records | Kept while needed for the enquiry |
| Security and operational logs | 14 days (application logs only) |
| Business conversion records (an enquiry or sale counted for reporting) | 730 days |
Where a law or a contract requires us to keep a record for longer, we keep it for that period.
12. Consent and withdrawal
Optional analytics is your choice. Declining it does not stop the website or its forms working. You can change your choice at any time with the “Privacy choices” control in the footer of every page, and withdrawing is as easy as allowing.
When you turn analytics off:
- optional analytics and the basic aggregate page-load count stop on that browser and device from that point;
- the analytics identifier stored in that browser is removed, Google Analytics is disabled and the Google cookies we can reach are removed;
- when our server receives your withdrawal, it records your choice and starts a clean-up in the background of earlier analytics records from that browser: the network address, approximate location, referring and landing pages, campaign values and web-address parameters are removed from them, and enquiry or conversion records are detached from the visit. If we cannot reach our server, that clean-up does not start from your request;
- the visit records are not deleted by the withdrawal itself. They are kept until the retention periods in the retention section end, and the record of your consent choice is kept for the period stated there;
- you can ask about, correct or erase earlier records through the privacy request page, although some business or legal records may have to be kept.
13. Your rights and complaints
Subject to the law, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and how it is used;
- correct, complete or update it;
- erase it, where that applies;
- stop using it for a purpose you consented to, by withdrawing consent;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights for you, where the law allows it.
Use the privacy request page to make a request.
Complaints
Our grievance contact is Sumeet Shroff. To make a complaint about how we handle your personal information, write to sumeet@prateeksha.com. We respond within 15 days of receiving it.
14. Children
Our website is not directed at children.
15. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including encrypted connections to this website and limits on who can access it. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
16. Changes to this notice
If we materially change what we collect, why, who it is shared with or how long it is kept, we publish a new notice version. When the version changes, an earlier analytics choice no longer applies: analytics stays off, the analytics identifier stored in your browser is removed and you are asked again. Corrections that do not change the meaning, such as spelling, do not create a new version.
